Here in Texas we have the luxury of being able to enjoy being outside all year round. Not everyone can say that! When others are driven inside to get away from the snow and cold, we just have to put on a jacket and light a campfire. Picnic tables are something we can enjoy ALL year long.
The tables can be made depending on your taste. Some people like the look of wide boards on top, while some prefer the look of 2x4s. Only the legs are made out of pressure treated wood (you don't want to sit or eat on pressure treated boards.) Along with stain they are also sealed to protect against the elements. They are double bolted with galvanized hardware. We include a cast iron bottle opener on the tables. We can add stars and other cast iron embellishments. And when it comes to the burned design....the options are limitless! You can have a table with your family name, your lifestyle (hunting, fishing, etc.), or just about anything you can think of.
Here is a 3 ft picnic table for 2. It has an antiqued finish and the outline of Texas burned into the top.

This is a 6 foot table made with 2X4s with the lone star burned in the top and embellishments in the corners. All designs are first carved then burned by hand. The 2x4s give a different look. The boards can be changed to fit your taste.
Here is a 6 foot table made out of 2x12s with a walnut finish. Its finished with clear coated cast iron stars in the corners.
